On Tuesday 4 June 2024, a prestigious event was held at the Ahrend showroom in Prague, namely the TOP100 Czech Architecture Studios awards. This event, organized by ARCHITECT+ magazine, which is part of the Premium Media Group, aims to highlight studios whose work has a significant contribution to the development of the domestic architectural scene.
A selection of the best of the best
Each year, the editorial board of ARCHITECT+ magazine, supplemented by the winners of the ARCHITECT+ magazine award, selects the most interesting domestic studios. These architectural studios demonstrate not only temporary, but more importantly lasting creative consistency and quality. The poll is complemented by a selection of the ten most interesting young studios under the name TOP10 Czech Emerging Architects.
From the ranks of the elite TOP100 we can find the winner of the annual ARCHITECT+ magazine award, which is given for a significant architectural achievement or long-term contribution to the domestic scene. The main prize is complemented by the Partner Awards, which look for a good approach to sustainability, the creation of public space and the use of modern technologies.

The main prize was awarded to architect Petr Tej. The jury appreciated his long-term and almost unmissable work, especially in the design and implementation of footbridges and other bridge structures with an emphasis on the use of modern materials and contemporary aesthetics.
The prize for an innovative approach to designing houses was awarded to Jan Bárta, Marek Fischer and Šimon Bierhanzl (Papundekl Architects).
Martin Kožnar (Architecture by Heart) received the award for a sustainable approach to design and implementation.
The winner of the ARCHITECT+ magazine award for the best young studio TOP 10 Emerging Architects 2024 was Tereza and Jiří Kabelek’s Studio Cosmo.

A significant event for the architectural community
The event was attended by over 300 guests, including architects, design studio owners, designers themselves, VIP clients of Premium Media Group and selected partners. Alongside industry players such as Ahrend, Miele, Hilding Anders and VIMISLICKI, our SPA Studio was proud to be one of the main partners of the event.
For one evening, the Ahrend Showroom became a meeting place for the most important personalities of Czech architecture and design.
Our presentation at the event
At the event, we displayed our Marlin Geometric hot tub with special bamboo cladding in Ahrend’s design space. This unique product attracted attention for its innovative combination of modern design and environmentally friendly material. The bamboo cladding not only gives the hot tub an elegant look, but also underlines our commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly solutions. The presentation also included samples of our exclusive accessories, which have great aesthetics in addition to advanced technological functions. We are able to create all these accessories in the presented bamboo decor.

A look back at the evening
During the evening, guests had the opportunity to see the latest trends in architecture and design, discuss hot topics in the industry and make new professional contacts. The presentation of the award-winning studios and their projects was accompanied by expert analysis and discussion.
The TOP100 Czech Architecture Studios survey is an important milestone on the Czech architectural scene, which not only recognises the best studios and their work, but also inspires and motivates towards further development. Events like this are a crucial step towards supporting and promoting quality architecture that has a positive impact on society as a whole.
